on the 27th of november, 2005, aidan took to the stage with seven of dublins finest musicians to play a carefully selected set of songs in the historic bewleys café theatre. the set was recorded by floatinghome studios as the first in a planned series of floatinghome presents live releases.
the mini-album was released in april 2006. on the 16th of march, the day before saint patricks day, we played a special gig in bewleys café theatre to mark the event. aidan was joined on stage by the windfallen twigs and the gig was filmed...

in the summer of 2005, a group of top musicians and songwriters in the greater dublin area escaped from the live music scene to play together in each others homes. this started with niall james holohan, alyanya and jenny lindfors in a penthouse appartment in the coombe. chris morrin wasn't far behind.
somewhere in another part of town, aidan, james guilmartin, ben kritikos and cian murphy were jamming and gigging each others music as a collective group. they joined forces with the coombe crowd and became known as THE HAPPY GANG (performing under any and every name except the happy gang)...
they took to the stage together in the autumn are currently creating quite a hype around the... eh... carefully crafted arrangements they add to each others music. this live at bewleys cd is a taste of what they are doing together.
